LENS for Bryan Tx

Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS)

The LENS, or Low Energy Neurofeedback System, uses a very low power electromagnetic field (about 10-18 watts/cm2 ) as the feedback signal to your brain.   Brain waves are detected and measured using a sophisticated electroencephalograph (EEG).  The abnormal EEG patterns are detected and then gently modified through the feedback signals to be more efficient in allowing normal function.

Although the LENS feedback signal is extremely weak, it produces a measurable change in your brain waves without conscious effort on your part.

While standard neurofeedback requires you to sit and pay attention to a computer screen, LENS therapy only asks you to sit quietly for a few seconds with your eyes closed.

Brain waves are changed. The result is a much greater ability of your brain to regulate itself, and thereby regulate the rest of your body.

Reclaiming Your Potential

When someone suffers trauma, be it emotional or physical, or becomes neurophysiologically imbalanced, neurofeedback may be of enormous benefit to help them reclaim their potential. Although, it won't make someone smarter, faster, or better than they are physically or genetically capable, neurofeedback can bring back their best.

Often those who've experienced the benefits of neurofeedback therapy feel a sense of becoming their "old self"—reclaiming the potential and capabilities they have previously experienced at peak times.

Successful treatment helps the brain and nervous system to regain equilibrium and stability and better control/balance itself.

In neurological functioning, a minor change of state can manifest in a profound difference in one's subjective experience. When stress or other outside factors, or biologically based mechanisms, disturb the nervous equilibrium, neurofeedback therapy can catalyze the brains own ability to re-balance, which to the stressed individual, can be experienced as a reversal effect.

LENS is an educational device for the central nervous system, to re-tune it's own reactions to stimulation.

There is reduced magnitude of adverse neurological reaction to life’s stresses, which helps the person to be more discerning and function at a higher level.

Individuals in the performing arts, athletes, and all persons involved in activities requiring high levels of function, appreciate the advantage of performing at their peak potential.

To someone suffering lost potential, reclaiming it is really regaining the world of possibilities.

Dr. Bailey Asks some important questions of interest to Bryan residents - Chiropractor Bryan Dr. Bailey Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
How does headache medication find the headache?
It can't! Chiropractors know that when you ingest a drug and it enters your bloodstream it numbs or deadens your entire body. Chiropractic adjustments, on the other hand, are specific, targeted and delivered with precision.
