Physical Medicine

At Bailey Health & Wellness Center, we use the following methods to compliment your chiropractic care and promote healing:

Cold Laser

Cold Laser Therapy

Painless and without side effects, Dr. Bailey uses Cold Laser therapy to provide rapid pain relief, enhanced neuromuscular function, and more rapid healing of wounds.

Interferential Electro-Therapy

Electrical impulses induced into the tissues in the vicinity of the injury. Low frequency stimulation is created which prompts the body to secrete natural painkillers to help relieve pain.

Electro-Muscle Stimulation

It is a special form of electrical current that is administered at the site of soft tissue injury, especially muscles, for the blocking of pain. Small amounts of electrical current are induced into the tissues for the purpose of reducing swelling. This technique safely strengthens muscles and helps reduce painful symptoms.

Diathermy

Therapeutic treatment using high frequency sound waves administered in the region of soft tissue injuries. Sound vibrations penetrate the tissues deep in the body, creating a heat response. These vibrations and heat help break down and disperse unhealthy calcium and other hard tissue accumulations.

Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point is an area of uncontrolled muscle tightness causing tenderness, which interferes with normal muscle function. This restricts normal range of motion, weakens the muscle, and may refer pain to other parts of the body. Massage: Massaging works by kneading and stroking muscles to relax them, and uses friction to stimulate soft tissues. This therapy can increase blood and lymph circulation on while breaking up scar tissue between muscle fibers.

Dr. Bailey Asks some important questions of interest to Bryan residents - Chiropractor Bryan Dr. Bailey Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
