Various Soft Tissue Techniques

Dr. Bailey examines and treats soft tissue dysfunction using massage, transverse friction, proprioceptive neurofacilitation, strain-counter strain, and positional release techniques.  Soft tissue pain arises from tissues that are either too long, or too short, and in the case of muscles, too weak or too strong.  Treatment is designed to bring the painful tissues back into their proper length and strength, with as much patient comfort as possible.  The result is remarkably less pain during daily activities and sleep.

Variable Percussor and Variable Adjustor

Variable Percussor and Variable Adjustor:  These are mechanical devices to treat soft tissue and joint restrictions with safe, gentle, well-regulated forces.  Many patients prefer these techniques to other more vigorous chiropractic techniques.   These tools are used by Dr. Bailey for a “no popping” chiropractic adjustment, with the goal of pain relief, and normal posture and movement.

If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and prefer to be adjusted in a particular way, let Dr. David Bailey know. We want you to relax, enjoy and fully benefit from your chiropractic care.

Dr. Bailey Asks some important questions of interest to Bryan residents - Chiropractor Bryan Dr. Bailey Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Are aches and pains good or bad?
While aches or pains may be unpleasant, they're merely warning signs. As a Bryan chiropractor, I see this all the time. The pain is not the problem! It just means a limitation has been reached and something needs to change. That's when we get to work correcting the underlying cause.
